STI/STD testing & treatment
Confidential Care for Your Sexual Health
At our clinic, licensed medical professionals are here to answer your questions, provide testing, and discuss treatment options so you can make informed decisions about your health and well-being.
Why Is STI Testing Important?
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) do not always cause noticeable symptoms. Many people may have an infection without knowing it, which is why regular testing is an important part of caring for your health if you are sexually active.
Early testing and treatment can help:
- Protect your long-term reproductive health
- Reduce the risk of complications
- Prevent the spread of infection to others
- Provide peace of mind and answers about your symptoms or concerns
Seeking testing is a proactive step toward caring for yourself and your future health.

- Gonorrhea testing
- Trichomoniasis testing
If treatment is needed, our licensed medical professionals can provide appropriate prescriptions and discuss next steps for care.
Confidential STI testing
We understand that concerns about privacy or fear of judgment can make it difficult to seek care. At Open Arms Real Choices Clinic, we are committed to providing a respectful, nonjudgmental experience where you can feel safe asking questions and receiving support.
Your privacy and confidentiality are important to us.
How do I know if I should get tested for an STI?
Many sexually transmitted infections do not cause noticeable symptoms. If you are sexually active, have a new partner, multiple partners, or have concerns about possible exposure, testing can help protect your health and provide peace of mind.
How much does STI testing cost?
Our STI testing and treatment services are offered at no cost.
Do you take insurance?
No insurance is needed. Our STI testing and treatment services are offered at no cost in North Idaho.
Do I need symptoms to get tested?
No. Many STIs do not cause symptoms, especially in the early stages. Testing is often the only way to know for sure if you have an infection.
Do you perform blood tests?
At this time, we do not offer blood testing. Our clinic currently provides swab testing for bacterial vaginosis (BV), chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis.
If you have questions about what type of testing may be appropriate for your situation, our medical team is happy to talk with you during your appointment.
What are STI symptoms?
Some sexually transmitted infections may not cause any symptoms at all. When symptoms are present, they can include:
- Unusual discharge
- Burning or pain during urination
- Itching or irritation
- Pelvic pain
- Pain during intercourse
- Unusual odor
- Sores, bumps, or rashes
If you are experiencing symptoms or have concerns about possible exposure, testing can help provide answers and guide next steps for your care.
